Our Junior section operates on Friday evenings (Term-Time) from 6.30pm to 9pm and is available to children in school years 3 to 7 (age 8 to 12). Our members have access to a range of physical and mentally stimulating activities including: cooking, arts & crafts, football, dance, drama, pool, table tennis, gym games, quizzes and competitions.

We also offer a School Holiday Activity Programme that operates over 5 weeks each year (2 weeks at Easter and 3 weeks in the summer), providing our members with affordable play and learning opportunities, all designed to encourage and promote participation, social interaction, exploration and healthy play.

Our Senior section is for young people aged 11-19 years and operates on 3 evenings a week over 45 weeks of the year (Term-Time), and is open from 6.30pm & 9.30pm. These sessions offer a range of programmes and activities from sport and cooking to developmental workshops and accredited learning. Our aim is to help young people in their personal, social, spiritual and physical development.

Our members regularly take part in activities such as cooking, arts and crafts, football, basketball, table tennis, pool, group games, film viewing, as well as school holiday and residential activities. We also provide a range of one-off projects and workshops which cover a number of themes such as sexual health, Crime and safety, healthy eating, etc.

In recent years, the Club has endeavoured to develop its links with other community organisations within the local area. An example of our work is our annual “Intergenerational” evening at John Betts House, an organisation that offers residential accommodation for those over the age of 55. We have taken groups of 6-8 young people as well as our own chef to create a sit down meal and provide an evening’s entertainment for up to 10 residents each time. We also take the residents on day trips to various venues of their choice using the Club’s minibus.

This work is still in the early stages, but we are hopeful of building relationships with more community organisations in the future.
